Bad news for Bangladesh. With only days to go before the Asia Cup 2022 cricket tournament kicks-off, pacer Hasan Mahmud and wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan Sohan have been ruled out of the prestigious tournament scheduled to be held in the UAE. The team’s loss of three important players puts them in a difficult position as Bangladesh look to win their maiden Asia Cup title. Bangladesh have already finished runners-up thrice – in 2012, 2016 and 2018. However, despite some strong performances in the recent past, they are yet to win the only official continental trophy.
