PAK vs AFG: A large brawl between Pakistani and Afghan fans breaks out

Date:

Following the result in the penultimate over of Pakistan vs Afghanistan game on Wednesday at the Sharjah stadium, a brawl broke out in the stands between supporters of the two teams, and it quickly became exceedingly ugly with chairs and bottles being thrown. Security was unable to keep things under control when they became out of hand. It is unknown if any of the fans were hurt in the shocking occurrence.

According to reports, the Afghan fans started vandalizing the Cricket Stadium. Apparently unable to contain their feelings, Afghan fans attacked Pakistani supporters in the stadium. People were divided in their support for the sides soon after social media users started sharing videos of the violence.

When Afghan fans “beat” Pakistani fans, a Pakistani journalist named Hamza Azhar Salam questioned whether Sharjah Police would identify them.

After taking out nine wickets, Afghanistan was outstanding on the field and had Pakistan on the verge of collapse. In the last over, Pakistan needed 11 runs but only held one wicket. The favorites were without a doubt Afghanistan.

All the changes took place after Pakistan batsman Naseem Shah hit two consecutive sixes in the first two balls of the final over, undoing some outstanding bowling by Afghanistan earlier in the innings, giving Pakistan a one-wicket victory in a thrilling Super Four match on Wednesday at the ongoing Asia Cup 2022.

After posting only 129/6 on the board, Afghanistan was instructed to leave. They nearly led their team to victory, but Naseem’s two sixes in the final over ensured Pakistan’s victory. For Pakistan, Iftikhar Ahmed (30) and Shadab Khan (36) made noteworthy contributions. There will be a final between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
