After taking out nine wickets, Afghanistan was outstanding on the field and had Pakistan on the verge of collapse. In the last over, Pakistan needed 11 runs but only held one wicket. The favorites were without a doubt Afghanistan.
All the changes took place after Pakistan batsman Naseem Shah hit two consecutive sixes in the first two balls of the final over, undoing some outstanding bowling by Afghanistan earlier in the innings, giving Pakistan a one-wicket victory in a thrilling Super Four match on Wednesday at the ongoing Asia Cup 2022.
After posting only 129/6 on the board, Afghanistan was instructed to leave. They nearly led their team to victory, but Naseem’s two sixes in the final over ensured Pakistan’s victory. For Pakistan, Iftikhar Ahmed (30) and Shadab Khan (36) made noteworthy contributions. There will be a final between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
