Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav, who played a match-winning innings in the third T20 (IND vs AUS) against Australia, has been praised by the head coach of the opposition team Andrew McDonald. He said that Suryakumar Yadav is going to prove to be a big threat in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
The right-handed batsman scored 69 runs in 36 balls with the help of five sixes and as many fours and shared a crucial 104-run partnership with Virat Kohli (63) and played a key role in India’s victory.
McDonald said the Australian bowlers were under pressure throughout the series because of the skills of the Indian batsmen. In the post-match press conference, the Australian batsman said,
The conversation is always going to happen. Can you get better at your death bowling? The answer is yes. We encourage our people to make good decisions and act on them. Sometimes the batsman knocks you out and we have seen the whole series with Hardik Pandya. Suryakumar Yadav was brilliant today and he will prove to be dangerous in the World Cup because he showed what he can do.
