IND vs SL: Sanju Samson may be out of second T20 match against Sri Lanka, reason revealed!

Sanju Samson may be out of the second T20 match (IND vs SL) against Sri Lanka in Pune on 5 January. The Kerala batsman is said to have a knee problem and due to this he has not left for Pune with the team and is in Mumbai only. Samson was included in the playing XI in the first match.

In the very first over of Sri Lanka’s innings, opener Pathum Nissanka was edged and Samson, standing at mid-off, tried to take a diving catch but he did not succeed and dropped the catch. According to the news of Cricbuzz, during this effort, Sanju Samson had an injury problem. Although Samson continued fielding, he experienced swelling after the match, prompting him to seek medical advice.

Sanju Samson was fed in the first match of the three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka but he could not make much contribution. Samson, who came to bat at number one in Mumbai’s Wankhede, became the victim of Dhananjay de Silva after scoring 5 runs in six balls.

In the first match of the T20 series played on Tuesday, India beat Sri Lanka by 2 runs in a thrilling manner. Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka won the toss and put India to bat first. Batting first, India scored 162/5 in 20 overs. Deepak Hooda scored the most unbeaten 41 runs from India. Sri Lanka in reply lost their last wicket on the last ball and were all out for 160 and suffered a narrow defeat. Axar Patel won applause by defending 13 runs in the last over. And Shivam Mavi, who played his debut match, also took four wickets in his name.
