Sanju Samson may be out of the second T20 match (IND vs SL) against Sri Lanka in Pune on 5 January. The Kerala batsman is said to have a knee problem and due to this he has not left for Pune with the team and is in Mumbai only. Samson was included in the playing XI in the first match.
In the very first over of Sri Lanka’s innings, opener Pathum Nissanka was edged and Samson, standing at mid-off, tried to take a diving catch but he did not succeed and dropped the catch. According to the news of Cricbuzz, during this effort, Sanju Samson had an injury problem. Although Samson continued fielding, he experienced swelling after the match, prompting him to seek medical advice.
Sanju Samson was fed in the first match of the three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka but he could not make much contribution. Samson, who came to bat at number one in Mumbai’s Wankhede, became the victim of Dhananjay de Silva after scoring 5 runs in six balls.
