ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 Prize Money Announced

The prize money for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 has been announced, and the champions will get an incredible $US 1.6 million.

According to the ICC, the winning team at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Melbourne on November 13 would get $1.6 million in prize money, with the second-place team receiving a guarantee of half that amount.

The losing semi-finalists in the 16-team event, which lasts for over a month, will get $400,000 apiece from the $5.6 million total prize pool.

Each of the eight teams who drop out of the Super 12 round will get $70,000. For the 30 games in the Super 12 phase of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, a victory will be rewarded $40,000 in each match, similar to last year.

Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and South Africa were the eight teams who advanced directly to the Super 12 stage.

The first round will include the remaining eight teams, who are divided into two groups of four. These teams are West Indies, Scotland, Ireland, Namibia, Sri Lanka, the Netherlands, and Zimbabwe in Group B, and they will compete in Group A. First-round winners will each get $40,000 in prizes, for a total prize pool of $480,000 throughout the 12 matches. Each of the four teams eliminated in the first round will get $40,000.
