Asia cup 2022 is all set to begin on 27th August but the qualifier matches of Asia cup have already started. A total of 4 teams will participate in qualifiers which includes UAE, Kuwait, Hong Kong and Singapore and the winner will play the tournament with the rest of the teams. The 5 teams who have already qualified for the Asia cup are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.

Kuwait registered a thrilling win
On 22nd August, i.e. the second day of qualifiers, Kuwait and UAE faced each other. Kuwait registered a thrilling win against UAE. Kuwait won the toss and elected to bowl first and invited UAE to bat first. Playing first, UAE scored 173 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Chirag Suri played a brilliant inning of 88 runs. In reply, Kuwait scored 177 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 19.5 overs.
