In the T20 World Cup 2022, Pakistan suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe defeated Pakistan (PAK vs ZIM) by one run and made the biggest upset of this World Cup. But before the match, there was a ruckus between the spectators of both the countries after the news. Pakistan sent a fake Mr Bean to the country of Zimbabwe, after which the Zimbabwean fans were angry with Pakistan and told that it would be avenged on the cricket field. Now after Pakistan’s humiliating defeat, fans are constantly sharing videos and photos of fake Mr. Bean on social media.
Who is ‘Fake Mr. Bean’ or ‘Pak Bean’?
The man to portray the character of the popular Rowan Atkinson (the actor who plays Mr Bean) is Pakistani comedian Asif Muhammad. Asif Muhammad introduced himself as Mr. Bean’s doppelganger during his visit to Zimbabwe. This caused anger among Zimbabwean fans.
Twitter war broke out between the President of Zimbabwe and the Prime Minister of Pakistan
The ‘Fake Mr Bean’ joke went viral to such an extent that Zimbabwe’s President Emmerson Mnangagwa also took to Twitter to take a jibe at Pakistan after Zimbabwe’s victory and said, “What for Zimbabwe Win! Congratulations Chevron. Next time, send the real Mr. Bean.” His tweet has been liked throughout the World Cup.
In such a situation, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif replied to him and wrote, “We may not have the real Mr. Bean, but we have the real cricketing spirit and we Pakistanis have a funny habit of making a comeback. Congratulations to the President on the win. Your team played really well today.”
