Former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli’s record in the T20 World Cup has been very impressive. In 2012, Kohli played this tournament for the first time. The right-handed batsman is the highest average run-scorer in the mega event of the T20 format. Kohli has played 21 matches so far in this tournament in which he has scored 845 runs at an impressive average of 76.81.

#4 Most fifties – Virat Kohli

King Kohli is the player to score the most fifties in the T20 World Cup. The right-handed batsman has scored 10 half-centuries in this tournament. Kohli’s highest score in this event is an unbeaten 89, which he scored in the match against West Indies on March 31, 2016.

#3 Highest strike rate in an innings of more than 50 runs – Yuvraj Singh

Former Indian team batsman Yuvraj Singh holds the record for the highest strike-rate half-century in the T20 World Cup. In the 21st match of the T20 World Cup held in 2007, Yuvi played a blistering innings of 58 runs against England in 16 balls with the help of seven sixes and three fours. The left-handed batsman scored these runs at a strike rate of 362.50. In this match, Yuvraj created havoc by hitting six sixes in an over of Stuart Broad.

#2 Most runs in a T20 World Cup season – Virat Kohli

Indian batsman Virat Kohli also holds the record for scoring the most runs in a single edition of the T20 World Cup. Kohli was in excellent form in this tournament held in 2014. The 33-year-old right-handed batsman played 6 matches in that edition, scoring 319 runs in six innings at an average of 106.33. During this, four half-centuries were also scored from Kohli’s bat.

#1 Wicketkeeper with most wickets – MS Dhoni

Former India wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni is the most successful wicketkeeper in T20 World Cup history. Dhoni has played six World Cups of T20 format in his international career. During this, he has made 32 players (catch 21, stumping 11) behind the wickets.
