T20 World Cup: The captain of India and Western Australia swapped shirts, see picture


Before the T20 World Cup, India played a practice match with Western Australia today. This was India’s second warm-up match. In this match, India won the toss and decided to bowl first. During the toss, the captains of both the teams have done such a thing keeping the spirit of the game alive, whose picture is becoming quite viral on social media.

India and Western Australia played this match at the WACA Ground in Perth. Rohit Sharma was present in this match but the captaincy of the team was handed over to KL Rahul. During the toss, Western Australia captain Ashton and KL Rahul exchanged each other’s signed shirts. A picture of this has been shared by the WACA on its Twitter page.

India will play its first match in the T20 World Cup against Pakistan on 23 October but practice matches are being held before that. In the first warm-up match, India won against Western Australia by 13 runs. At the same time, in this match, India stopped the batting first Western Australia for 168 runs. Ashwin bowled well for India. He took 3 wickets for 32 runs in his 4 overs. Along with this Harshal Patel took 2 and Arshdeep Singh took 1 wicket.

Indian team’s opener and captain of this match KL Rahul batted brilliantly, chasing the target. He tried to handle the innings from one end. However, except him, none of the batsmen stayed at the crease for long. KL Rahul also got out after scoring 74 runs. Due to continuous falling wickets, India’s innings faltered and could only manage 132 runs. India lost this match by 36 runs.
