Shocking defeat in Pakistan’s T20 series, Ireland gave a big blow

In the last T20 match played in Lahore, Ireland Women defeated Pakistan Women by 34 runs and won the series 2-1 Batting first, Ireland scored 167/4, in reply Pakistan were bundled out for 133 without even playing a full over. Ireland’s Gabby Lewis was adjudged player of the match for her brilliant innings.

Ireland won the toss and elected to bat first and their decision was proved right by both the opening batsmen. The pair of Amy Hunter and Gabby Lewis shared a century partnership of 110 runs. Nashra Sandhu gave her team the first success by dismissing Hunter on a personal score of 40. After some time, Gabby Lewis was also dismissed after scoring 71 runs in 46 balls. His innings included 11 fours and a six. Orla Prendergast also played an inning of 37 runs. In the lower order, Rebecca Stockell also contributed with an unbeaten 17 runs. His three bowlers achieved one success each for Pakistan.

Chasing the target, Pakistan lost the wicket of Sidra Amin at the score of 17. She got out after scoring 4 runs. Muneeba Ali also scored 11 runs on the score of 46. Ayesha Naseem also got out after scoring 5 runs. Javeria Khan batted brilliantly and scored 50 runs. The series of wickets started from here and continued. Captain Bismah Maroof and Aliya Riaz were dismissed for 6 and 3 respectively. Nida Dar made 26 and Fatima Sana made some effort by scoring 14 runs but in the end Pakistan’s innings was reduced to seven balls before. Arlen Kelly and Laura Delany took three wickets each for Ireland.

The first match of the series was won by Ireland. After this, Pakistan won the next match, but in the final match, Ireland won the series by showing a brilliant game.
