The Road Safety World Series (RSWS) organizers announced on Thursday that Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar will captain the reigning champion India Legends (September 1). The 22-day event will be held at several locations commencing on September 10.
Kanpur will host the opening round of the competition, the two semifinal matches, and the championship match, which will all take place on October 1. A press release states that Indore and Dehradun are additional locations.

The New Zealand Legends are the new participants in this edition, and they will compete alongside the legends of India, Australia, Sri Lanka, the West Indies, South Africa, Bangladesh, and England during the competition, which is primarily played to raise awareness of road safety in the nation and around the world.

Road Safety World Series
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the Ministry of Information and Technology, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India all support the RSWS. The Road Safety World Series, which uses cricket to raise awareness of road safety, was praised by Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport & Highways. Anurag Thakur, the sports minister, expressed his confidence that the Road Safety World Series will spur societal change and serve as an effective forum for changing people’s attitudes toward safe driving practices.
The RSWS seeks to alter people’s perceptions of road safety and promote social change in the nation. The League will serve as an excellent forum for influencing and changing people’s attitudes toward their behavior on the roads because cricket is the most popular sport in the nation and cricketers are idolized by many.
