Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya will return to India after he sustained an injury in the One Day Cup, playing for Warwickshire against Nottinghamshire. Pandya will return to India after receiving a diagnosis on a groin injury sustained during the match.

His injury was sustained while batting. Pandya did not return to the field to bat in the second innings and no longer featured in his team’s win against Durham. Doctors consulted with Pandya and have said that he is likely to miss three weeks of action. This means that he will not be available for selection in upcoming matches, particularly if Warwickshire enter the knockouts.

Krunal Pandya has performed fairly well with the ball, picking up nine wickets. His best bowling figures are 3/51 against Sussex.
On July 1, 2022, Warwickshire County Cricket Club had announced the signing of the Indian all-rounder, who was expected to play all matches of the 2022 Royal London Cup.

In the international scene, Pandya made his ODI debut against England in 2021, smashing the fastest half-century (26 balls) by a debutant in ODI cricket.
So far, Pandya has appeared in 19 T20I and five ODIs. Besides competing in international matches, the left-arm spinner and left-handed batter has been regularly featuring in the Indian Premier League, having represented Mumbai Indians for a while before shifting to Lucknow Super Giants.
