Australia batted first in this match. In the 15th over of the match, Marcus Stoinis played a shot towards long-on. The ball went straight into the air towards the boundary and it looked like it was definitely going to be a six. But then McCarthy jumped hard and caught the ball in the air and threw it inside while he fell outside the boundary rope.

After this fielding, he also suffered a back injury and immediately the physio helped him by reaching the field but his effort earned him praise.
