India had outplayed Zimbabwe in their last match, registering a thrilling 13-run win at the Harare Sports Club to clinch the three-match ODI series 3-0.

India had amassed 289/8 in their 50 overs after a scintillating century by Shubman Gill and a valuable 50 by Ishan Kishan, who put together a 140-run stand.
Brad Evans was the pick of the bowlers for Zimbabwe, taking 5/54.

Chasing 290, Sikander Raza scored a superb 115 runs off only 95 balls and put on a 104-run stand with Brad Evans that nearly saw Zimbabwe home. However, Avesh Khan and Shardul Thakur picked up late crucial wickets to dismiss the hosts for 276.
India could further improve its ranking in October when it hosts South Africa for three ODIs.

Pakistan also improved their ranking, moving to 107 rating points and claiming fourth position currently. They managed a 3-0 clean sweep against the Netherlands.
New Zealand lead the table with 124 points while England are in second place with 119 points. The English side is meanwhile continuing their ICC World Test Championship campaign in a three-Test series against South Africa, which they trail by 1-0.

The Kiwis earlier had a nine-point advantage at the top of the rankings, but a loss to West Indies reduced their lead to five points.
