After winning the toss this season, Sri Lanka Legends became the first team to choose to bowl first. In their inaugural match, Dilshan’s Sri Lanka Legends crushed Australia Legends by 38 runs while batting first.
The England Legends began their Road Safety World Series campaign on Tuesday in Kanpur under the direction of Ian Bell. Bell and his squad only managed to score 78 runs in the 20-over match at Green Park Stadium when they were batting first against the Sri Lanka Legends. Sanath Jayasuriya, who picked up four key wickets, was chosen as the bowler for the Tillakaratne Dilshan-led Sri Lanka Legends team.

An outstanding bowling effort from the Islanders. As England Legends were dismissed for 78 in 19 overs, Chaturanga de Silva and Sanath Jayasuriya shared 6 wickets. As a result, Jayasuriya was chosen as the best bowler. The illustrious spinner took 4 wickets while only allowing 3 runs.
Easy Win for Sri Lanka Legends
At Green Park, Upul Tharanga (23) and Dilshan Munaweera (24) made crucial contributions that gave Sri Lanka Legends a 7-wicket victory. Sri Lanka Legends have risen to the top of the points standings thanks to their victory. At the same location earlier, the Dilshan-led team defeated Shane Watson’s Australia Legends by 38 runs.

Sri Lanka Legends are currently in first place in the Road Safety World Series T20 2022 standings as a result of their higher Net Run Rate (NRR). The current champions, India Legends, are placed behind the leaders, Sri Lanka Legends.
