England crushed India in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup


In the second semi-final match of the T20 World Cup 2022, England defeated India by a huge margin of 10 wickets. Playing first, India scored 168/6, in reply, England scored 170/0 in 16 overs and won the match. In this way, now on November 13, the English team will face Pakistan in the final match. England’s Alex Hales was adjudged the player of the match for his tremendous innings.

After winning the toss, England invited India to bat and proved their decision right. The pair of KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma, who came out to open the innings for India, could only add 9 runs. In the second over, Rahul became the victim of Chris Woakes on a personal score of 5. Rohit struggled for some time but he too was dismissed after scoring 27 runs in 28 balls. Suryakumar Yadav took an aggressive approach and in an attempt to score runs fast, he became the victim of Adil Rashid after scoring 14 runs with the help of a four and a six. In this way India lost three wickets till the score of 75.

From here, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya batted boldly and got quick runs. Virat scored his fourth half-century of the current World Cup in 39 balls. He was caught after scoring 50 runs in 40 balls with the help of four fours and a six. Meanwhile, Pandya continued to bat and completed his fifty in 29 balls. Rishabh Pant was run out on a personal score of 6 runs in the last over. Pandya hit a six in the fourth ball of the last over and a four on the fifth ball but hit wickets on the last ball. He scored 63 runs in 33 balls with the help of four fours and five sixes. Chris Jordan took three wickets for England.

For England, the pair of Jos Buttler and Alex Hales expressed their intentions in the powerplay itself. The pair scored 63 runs in the first six overs. The pair continued to attack and completed their respective half-centuries. England made India out of the match after scoring 156 runs in 15 overs. Butler gave his team victory by hitting a six on the last ball of the 16th over. Hales top scored with 86 runs. He hit seven sixes and four fours in 47 balls. At the same time, Buttler also played an unbeaten innings of 80 runs in 49 balls with the help of nine fours and three sixes.
