Jamaica Tallawahs beat Guyana Amazon Warriors by 37 runs to make it to the final of the CPL, where the team will take on Barbados Royals on 1 October, on the back of an explosive century from Shamrah Brooks in the second qualifier of the Caribbean Premier League.

Batting first after losing the toss during the second qualifier at Providence Stadium, Guyana, Jamaica scored 226 runs for the loss of 4 wickets by Shamrah Brooks’ 109 off 52 balls and Imad Wasim’s 41 off 15 balls. Scored a huge score. Brooks hit 7 fours and 8 sixes in his innings while Imad hit 4 fours and 3 sixes to take Jamaica to a colossal score.

Chasing the target of 227 runs, Guyana Amazon’s team did not have a good start and lost the first wicket on the score of only 19. After that, the wickets of the team kept falling in continuous intervals. For Guyana, none of the batsmen could survive except Keemo Paul. Paul played an innings of 56 runs in 37 balls but could not get his team to victory. Guyana’s team could only manage 189 runs for the loss of 8 wickets and Jamaica won the match by 37 runs to make it to the final of CPL 2022.
