The Indian team has suffered a major setback in the Asia Cup. Axar Patel has been included in the team in place of injured Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja is out of the tournament. He played in two matches of the group stage. Jadeja also performed excellent batting in the match against Pakistan.

The BCCI informed on its website that the All India Senior Selection Committee has included Axar Patel in place of Ravindra Jadeja in the ongoing Asia Cup. Ravindra Jadeja has injured his right knee and has been ruled out of the tournament. Akshar Patel, who was already on standby, has been roped in as his replacement. He will soon join the team in Dubai.
