The inaugural roster of the UAE’s International League T20 (ILT20) will feature a total of 84 International players, including 72 from ICC Full Member countries. The remaining 12 players are from seven ICC Associate Nations. Also, the UAE will see 24 of its players added to the squads of six teams.

Aside from the UAE, players from Afghanistan, Australia, England, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and the West Indies (Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, and Trinidad), will be a part of the forthcoming ILT20.
Associate nations Italy, Namibia, Nepal, The Netherlands, Oman, Scotland, USA, and the UAE will also see their players participating.

Teams will comprise of 18 players each, including four UAE players and two players from ICC Associate countries.
Set to make its debut in January 2023, the ILT20 will be played in a 34-match format in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in the UAE.
The competing teams are Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (Knight Riders Group), Desert Vipers (Lancer Capital), Dubai Capitals (GMR), Gulf Giants (Adani Sportsline), MI Emirates (Reliance Industries), and Sharjah Warriors (Capri Global).

Interestingly, the ILT20 will clash with South Africa’s T20 League, also scheduled to begin next year. Also, the two leagues will be conducted when Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL) and Bangladesh’s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) take place.
