Indian captain Rohit Sharma said on the eve of the high voltage match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup on Sunday that we have not decided our playing 11. Sharma also said that the Indian team will try certain things in the match regardless of the result. Rohit Sharma said in the press conference on the eve of the match, ‘The atmosphere of the team is fantastic. Fresh tournaments and fresh starts. Not thinking about what happened before. It is challenging to play against Pakistan. Going on only one match at a time.

The Indian captain further said, ‘We have not fixed our playing 11. We will decide after watching the match today.’ The match will be played on the same wicket. Team India is not getting the services of its two main fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel in the Asia Cup. Both the players are injured and are recovering from it at the NCA. Rohit Sharma said that the young bowlers of the Indian team are very capable. Rohit also indicated that Dinesh Karthik may find a place in the playing 11.
Rohit Sharma said, ‘All young bowlers have a chance to find a place in the team. We are open to sharing the responsibility and seeing how they respond. We will try to take the field with the best playing 11. Dinesh Karthik has done well in recent times. We have decided to do a few things. We might fail. As far as the combination is concerned, you will know tomorrow. We have decided to try a few things in the group and we will not worry about the result.’
