The second match of the Test series is being played between Pakistan and New Zealand (PAK v NZ) at the National Stadium in Karachi. Matt Henry and Ajaz Patel made a century partnership for the 10th wicket and made a big world record for the New Zealand team.
In the history of Test cricket, the New Zealand team’s batsmen have done the highest partnership of more than 100 runs for the 10th wicket. The Kiwi team did this feat for the sixth time in Test cricket and before this Australia, England and New Zealand team had their name for the century partnership for the 10th wicket five times. But now this big record has been achieved by the New Zealand team with the help of Matt Henry and Ejaz Patel. New Zealand then England and Australia (5 times) and India at number three have this record four times for the most century partnership for the 10th wicket in Test cricket.
New Zealand team was on 309/6 at the end of the first day’s play. Pakistan’s bowlers took 9 wickets of the visiting team for 345 runs as soon as possible on the second day. But after that Matt Henry and Ejaz Patel made a big partnership of 104 runs and brought New Zealand team’s score to 449. Matt Henry scored an unbeaten 68 while Ejaz Patel played an important inning of 35 runs. Both these players also scored their highest scores in Test cricket.
