The 17th match of CPL was played between St Kitts and Jamaica Tallawahs. The rain surely played a major role in this match and there was a delay due to some sudden showers in the second innings. Tallawahs started the innings with a good start in the first four overs but the next 5 overs were a nightmare for them as they only managed to score 15 runs at the fall of 2 wickets. Tallawahs were not able to get their way on the slow pitch and managed to score a total of 139 runs with a loss of 5 wickets. Rashid Khan took 1 wicket and gave only 8 runs in his 4 overs.
After the rain, play finally resumed and the patriots got the target of 113 runs in 15 overs by the DLS method. They got the perfect start and the openers took full advantage of the first 5 overs. Chris Green’s catches of Miguel Pretorious and Bravo gave a little chance to Tallawahs but Fluther and Rutherford crushed their hopes and the Patriots won the match with a little over two overs to spare.
