On the second day of the Duleep Trophy, the batsmen did an excellent job. Ajinkya Rahane scored a double century and is unbeaten on 207 runs. Young player Yashasvi Jaiswal also scored a double century whereas Prithvi Shaw scored a century.

West Zone vs North-East Zone, 1st quarter final
West Zone displayed brilliant batting in the second day’s play. Prithvi Shaw and Yashasvi Jaiswal made a partnership of 206 runs. After completing his century, Shaw was dismissed on 113 runs. After him, Ajinkya Rahane came and Jaiswal stayed with him. Rahane and Jaiswal made the bowlers crave for wickets. Rahane completed his century and Jaiswal was successful in scoring his double century. Both excellently took the score beyond 500. Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed on 228 runs. Ajinkya Rahane managed to score a double century. He was unbeaten on 207 till stumps on day 1. Rahul Tripathi was playing on 25 with him. Overall, West Zone scored 590 runs for 2 wickets till the stumps.

North Zone vs East Zone, 2nd quarter final
The East Zone team managed a strong score in the second day’s play. East Zone scored 397 runs in the first innings. Virat Singh scored a century and he got out on 117 runs. Shahbaz Ahmed also played an innings of 62 runs. Navdeep Saini and Nishant Sindhu took 3 wickets each. North Zone scored 65 runs without losing any wicket till the stumps of day 2.
